   Frank Cheng is an IT professional who has been working in his career for 10 years. Despite his excellent IT skills, his English skill is poor, and that prevents him from advancing more far in his career. 

   So recently, he asked me for help and invited me to be his English tutor. With systematic  learning, Mr. Cheng expects to master the usage of daily English and Office English (English for colleague communication, presentation, report writing, etc.).

   Since we are both busy, Mr. Cheng and I arrange the tutoring time on a basis of one lesson per week. Every single lesson lasts two hours. According to Mr. Cheng’s English level and his learning focus, I make a learning plan for him, which will undoubtedly improve our learning/teaching efficiency. Here is the English Learning Plan :

July:

Focus on  1) Develop a sense of English

                2) Able to read English(sentence & short essay) smoothly

                3) Familiar with the most used vocabulary and phrases

                4) Know the most used Office English

August:

Focus on  1) Learn most basic grammar knowledge 

                2) Able to read English(sentence & short essay)fluently

                3) Able to talk smoothly in English with others in

                    simple daily dialogue

                4) Master usage of some most used vocabulary & Phrases

                5) Master usage of some Office English vocabulary & Phrases

When July and August are finished, a test is prepared to see if there’s any progress and make correspond adjust  in future learning.
